PREACH SWAMIJI, BOLD AND FREE, AND WITHOUT DILUTION OF HIS MESSAGE IN ALL ITS SWEEP

PREACH SWAMIJI, BOLD AND FREE, AND WITHOUT DILUTION OF HIS MESSAGE IN ALL ITS SWEEP

India today needs the massive propagation of the message of Swami Vivekananda in all its comprehensive sweep, and its correct interpretation, free of a compromised dilution to appease the minorities who may be ill-disposed to digesting its import in places. It does not matter, but the truth must be told without covering it up or deflecting issue. Let Swamiji see the blaze of sunlight beyond being highlighted merely in stone or in sectional references from his Complete Works to suit a compromised convenience.
I have no faith in the current crop of preachers, monastic or lay, who shy of the truth which is so articulate in his works, and proceed to preach only what may be palatable to all. I know even of monastics in the West who feel apologetic about preaching Swamiji hard and straight, and attempt excusable explanations for his rather harsh words at places, so that the people out there may not be offended. Such a one even feels shy to admit that Sri Ramakrishna is 'their Guru' [the quoted words are 'our Guru'] and hastens to edit his just uttered words by changing them to he being Swami Vivekananda's Guru, which, though factually correct, leaves a certain doubt as to the intent of the speaker and his attitude, for, after all, Sri Ramakrishna is the Ramakrishna Sangha Guru and could have been acknowledged as such.
In this scenario where everybody seems to have either betrayed Swamiji's cause or at best partially fulfilled it, a massive change is necessary to bring about a 'root and branch reform' [Swamiji's term] of Indian society. Swamiji must be preached unapologetically and without editing content. Let it be done and see, despite opposition, what a wonderful change takes place in our polity. Leftist thinking there has been a lot. So have Gandhian and Nehruvian thinking been. Now let Swamiji's thinking impregnate the masses and see what an India emerges.
