BUDDHADEV BHATTACHARYA -- A THOROUGH GENTLEMAN, A POLITICIAN WITH A DIFFERENCE
What a wonderful Chief Minister we had in Buddhadev Bhattacharya ! But wonder of wonders why such a gentleman ever became an atheist and a communist? Adorable he was still for his gentlemanly ways, for his well-bred culture and civilised public behaviour. The last of the bhadraloks in the political arena, alas !
Buddhadev Bhattacharya remains one of the last of the cultured politicians of the country with goodness, civility, simplicity and warmth emanating from the depths of his being as the natural flow of a subterranean hot spring. He, thus, remains an object lesson for his successors in the political arena to emulate and, so, ennoble themselves and enrich the masses they represent instead of impoverishing them with rotten, raw and roguish culture not befitting this motherland of ours with heritage lofty and sublime.
