HINDUISM AND ITS FUTURE FOSETRING OF CHRISTIANITY AND ISLAM IN A PROGRESSIVELY SCIENTIFIC WORLD ... 1

The Hindu patiently bears attacks from all sides on his religion because in his heart of hearts he knows that the Sanatan Dharma is the future of the world and that all proselytising religions will have to seek support from its philosophy in the not too distant future for their very survival against the inroads of science into their citadels.
The Hindu knows that his religion stands on the science of the Self itself and has no such apprehensions arising from the advancement of material science and its methodology based on reason. Hinduism has always based its search for Truth on the same principles and has further progressed beyond it to seeking the inner light through introspection, a process which it has then followed up with rationalising its discoveries on the basis of reason in all its philosophical subtlety.
Christianity fought against modern science for centuries till it was overthrown by the Enlightenment and made to see its place in the emerging modern world.
The Muslim world is now going through that churn and will have to find its bearings in its bid for modern adjustment for the 1.8 billion people in its fold. It is not an easy transition, for the old inertia holds, and cultural sediments, concretised in superstition, are difficult to metamorphose or uproot. Resistance there is and resistance there will be, often violent, for ignorance ever deems progressiveness as enemy to age-old identity. But the transformation, nonetheless, is inevitable, for who can thwart the forces of history, I mean, psychophysiological evolution of the species and socio-political one in its wake?
The question then arises as to how Hinduism becomes relevant in this emerging global scenario?
