Who to seek light from, who to approach? Most are compromised in organisational mire or are like wet match-sticks that neither burn nor can illumine.
The man of realisation is rare but the sincere aspirant will find him when his time is come, for he is rare, too. The intensity of his seeking will set up sympathic currents, resonant waves whereby contact between pupil and preceptor will actualise. For the rest of the less ardent humanity, there will be this association with men of mixed motivations, an admixture of spirituality and materialism, however camouflaged, and they will have to remain content with such secondary gains till their deserving demands purer association.
This is the state of decadent spirituality and this is termed 'dharmaglaani' in the Geeta. We are right now in the midst of such a spiritual trough. The Avatar must manifest now and reorient the direction of man towards the spiritual end. The times are degenerate and, hence, inversely opportune for the divine descent. The world needs light, man needs spiritual energy.
