MY MOTHERLAND ... 3

MY MOTHERLAND ... 3

Patriotism must burn like a raging fire in the veins and reduce to rubble all that stands in the way of the renaissance of our ancient culture. Apologists of the enemies of the motherland may think otherwise, but what of it? We are a billion-strong people rooted in our ancient culture that has civilised the world time and time again.

Our people are my flesh and blood, the poor of our country who know not the tortuous workings of the western world that tries to subvert our nation in every way. We have been colonised for far too long to even remember that we stood in the sunshine of high civilisation when the western world lived like savages in forests. And then they came to plunder us in the name of their traitorous spreading of civilisation, in the name of their proselytising Christianity and in the name of every lie that they could concoct to make us feel inferior to them and, so, submit to their colonial tyranny.

But their hour is gone and we are rising as a nation, fired by the idealism that has sustained us through millenia and preserved us as a race through the terrible trials and tribulations that have repeatedly struck us with all their fury. Invasion upon invasion has reduced our national freedom to a semblance of what it used to be in the days of yore when India, hoary India, showed the world the way.

And yet, we survived. And we survived, not just to live on as a debilitated civilisation whose life has become a flicker, any moment to extinguish, but to conquer the diverse races of the world with the invigorating Word of the Vedas and the Upanishads, of the Puranas and the Tantras, of the sages and saints, poets and divine incarnations who have trodden the soil of this holy land, Bharatvarsha. It is unto this day that we have carried in our bosom the sacred mantras of our scriptures which we shall now inundate the world with. Ours is a mighty charge that the Divine has entrusted unto us and we shall dispense ourselves well to fulfil His mission.

May Mother preserve us ! May the God of India's destiny guide our steps to national and human fulfilment !

Vande Mataram !

Photo : The one patriot who sustains me in the storm of my rudderless life, who is the life of the nation, who is the condensed embodiment of the whole of the history of India past and the prospective history of future India, himself every moment being and becoming the shifting focus of the evolving national life while his roots remain in the immutable constancy of the Brahman (Universal Self). To this Lord of mine I bow down, his bidding I execute and his dreams I dream of fulfilling. Swamiji holds me eternally in his blessed love. My reverential prostrations at his hallowed feet.
