DECENTRALISATION IS THE WAY ... 1

DECENTRALISATION IS THE WAY ... 1

A vast decentralisation is the order of human evolution from some deep-seated centralised source. Surface centralisation is, thus, antithetical to this natural order of progressive manifestation and must be done away with.

The freeing of human endeavour along individual lines of creative output within the general framework of democracy is the best way ahead for it is in tune with the functioning of Nature. This is why absolutism of any kind has invariably proved detrimental to human evolution with the result that monarchy, oligarchy and dictatorship of any kind have been relegated to the pages of history in the advanced nations of the world. Where they still hold ground, such nations are in the grip of underdevelopment in all phases of civic life. Thus, political or religious systems that thwart the freedom of man, citing philosophical sanction or divine sanction, are bound to fail in the long run after having done untold harm to their subjects or adherents.

The free flow of the human spirit is best possible where external imposition from authority is minimum, and that, too, merely to maintain social order and cohesion for the maximum attainment of individual freedom without infringing on that of others. Democracy, enlightened and real, as opposed to a mere show of it with governmental gagging of the critical forces that dare oppose its policies and style of functioning, is the most efficacious system that brings out the best in the individual for the best utilisation of such output for collective welfare. It is the optimal balance between the individual and the authority that lies at the heart of the functioning of real democracy and such, indeed, is the finest way for the fullest manifestation of the individual and the collective potential of man.
