COUNTRY ABOVE PROFESSION, PLEASE

COUNTRY ABOVE PROFESSION, PLEASE

Journalists, when they speak to separatist leaders of the country, must never play the perfidious anti-India role. The least that can be expected of them is to carry out critical interviews alright but not say anything that may be used as separatist anti-India propaganda by these groups and by the world at large in the future. Freedom of speech and expression must have this as its reasonable restriction through patriotic self-restraint. No cause of the separatists ought to appear before a journalist as greater than preservation of the nation's integration for which our soldiers selflessly die every other day. Professional duty and obligation must not take precedence over national duty. If this has not been learnt by journalists, then it is time to train future journalists in this basic moral code.
