ARISE INIDA 38 ... LOOK INTO THE MIRROR
Are you first an Indian or are you first an adherent of your particular religious-ideological faith that rejects India's spiritual philosophy as false, its spiritual tradition as erroneous in the light of some alien understanding of the so-called Absolute Truth? If the former, you will identify with this nation's heritage wholly and not in parts as decreed and dictated by your religion or political ideology. If the latter, then you have already rejected your claims to being heritage Indians and have chosen to be selective Indians who pick up crumbs of the national civilisation as theirs and reject the rest as being alien to them. Can you be wholly Indian then? This is a pertinent point when we consider nationalism from its most universal angle. I exhort you all to meditate on this element and come to your own understanding as to how far you are truly an Indian. No offence to any is meant by this write-up, just a request to straight face up to the mirror and see your reflection in it. And you will know how much of an Indian you are, Constitutional Indian alone or heritage Indian as well in all its comprehensive scope and sweep.
