NEELGUNGE, JHIKARGACHHA, BARASAT AGAIN -- THE MASSACRE OF THOUSANDS OF INA SOLDIERS -- A RESPONSE

NEELGUNGE, JHIKARGACHHA, BARASAT AGAIN -- THE MASSACRE OF THOUSANDS OF INA SOLDIERS -- A RESPONSE

You are right, Neeta Banerjee. Nature never changes. Past inertia holds ever, making modification slow and tortuous through successive lives' experience. So also these rogues, either in Britain or in India who have either perpetrated these horrors or been complicit in it in the act of suppression of information, refuse to budge from their stated stance or fear to do so on account of the public outrage that will follow, and history will take its own time to reveal the truths that lie as yet hidden in secret files of a complicit government.

Our own awakening to these dastardly facts of our history is the sine qua non in such a case to the eventual uncovering of these horrors and their disclosure to the vast millions of our countrymen. It is time for each one of us who are engaged in the task of unravelling these horrors of history to take it upon ourselves with added zeal and work our way towards making our nation aware of these past perfidies, barbaric brutalities of the British and the untold sacrifices of our revolutionaries which go unrecorded in our historical texts.
