CONVERSION ... 1

CONVERSION ... 1

So long as proselytising goes on in the name of religion, religions will remain mutually antagonistic and religious harmony and peace will be a far cry. Conversion is like the waging of war against a neighbouring country. Hence, peaceful coexistence of proselytising religions is an oxymoron, being fundamentally opposed to their political agenda of gaining numbers at any cost.

These inter-faith dialogues and meets are a sham, in some cases a shameful pretentious exercise designed to brush under the carpet the real and sinister objectives of these proselytising global cults and in other cases naive exhibitions of trust reposed in failed causes and ever-to-fail causes, given the text of these religions which are divisive and opposed to communal harmony.

The Government puts up this pretence or exhibits this naivete of fostering communal harmony through the conducting of these inter-faith conferences without adopting stringent measures to prevent conversion of Hindus to Islam and Christianity which is rampant and is the cause of much distrust of the Hindus about these two proselytising religions and their hidden intent. India was once upon a time only the land of the Sanatan Dharma and its derivatives in Buddhism, Jainism and the like. But with the advent of Christianity and Islam on to the world scene, this scenario has changed much in India as well with the result that a quarter of her population was force converted mainly to Islam and quite a few induced into Christianity by resorting to all sorts of dubious methods and means. The process is till on and the subcontinent sees an ever-increasing number of Hindus being converted to Islam and the consequent diminishing of their numbers and the reverse increase of the numerical strength of the Indian Muslims. Here I include even Pakistan and Bangladesh which till the other day were parts of India. This is an alarming situation and calls for serious pondering for the future security of the Hindus and Hinduism as a culture and civilisation.

Christianity underwent a violent reformation and there was a deluge of blood that altered its course for good. No inter-faith dialogue would have convinced the Catholic Pope to relent and review the demands of the Protestants who had to fight a bloody battle that consumed the lives of millions before they could break free of the stranglehold of the Catholic Church. And yet, proselytising continued in the name of these new denominations of Christianity as well and vast numbers of subjugated and colonised peoples of the world were brought into the fold of Christianity that debilitated cultures and civilisations to thrust upon ancient peoples an alien culture imported from Europe. The same has happened with the spread of Islam and the trend continues to the day. Who will stop these perversions in the name of proselytising religions? Inter-faith conference? Impossible. All this is matter for more serious thought and action than make-believe brotherhood with religious affiliates, who have scriptural agenda of hate towards the infidel and the mandate to convert, will admit. Hence, we ought to study more the texts of these Semitic religions and arrive at a better understanding of them and their intent if truly we love our dharma, culture and civilisation and our motherland instead of pretending to be liberals extending our arms to them whose stated agenda is our conversion to their fold.

I rest my case here for the while for pressing engagements call forth my attention elsewhere. Ruminate on this and wait for my future updates on this most contentious of matters that ought to consume our attention.

Vande Mataram ! Jai Sanatan Dharma !
