SHAME IN THE NAME OF DEVOTION TO NETAJI

SHAME IN THE NAME OF DEVOTION TO NETAJI

It is shameful to see such a degree of fanaticism among a section of the so-called followers of Netaji. It inevitably must be so when the personality dominates the mental landscape and principle vanishes amidst degenerate devotion which is why such vitriolic attacks are made against anybody who affirms anything contrary to the perceived reality as opposed to the real reality.

Dualism has its pitfalls and it is eminently evident among the fanatical followers of Netaji. This is ever the case with proselytising religions which have personality as their basis and the Netaji cult developing in India is gradually going along that way. This is no real devotion but is the playing into one's lowly nature that masquerades as the devotee when in truth it is only upholding all that is vile in the name of superior devotion of sorts.

I am not only dismayed to witness this growing trend but am distancing myself from it as well from now on by refusing to interact with all such who deem this page to be their pasture in vilification of fellow human beings. And worst of all is this realisation of mine that many of these offenders to civility are educated individuals with scant respect for codes of civic behaviour. The very language they indulge in is abhorrent and worthy of being ignored for they tend to contaminate other more civil minds as well.

I hope I have made my point clear and here desist from further interaction with these elements who can easily abuse their privilege of expression and articulation with scant respect for what others feel.

May the spirit of Swamiji, Netaji, the revolutionaries and all those freedom fighters, thinkers, poets and philosophers, artists and musicians, sages and saints, incarnations and prophets lend better sense to the polity and lead it unto a saner and more civilised democratic realm where discussion does not degenerate to diatribe and solutions are sought through dialogue and deliberation rather than the fouling up of conversation and the casting of aspersions unfounded !

Vande Mataram ! Jai Hind !
