BOSE AND THE BRITISH

BOSE AND THE BRITISH

The British feared Bose the most. They spied on him, imprisoned him, deported him, exiled him, attempted to assassinate him, defamed, denigrated him, spread lies about him, and yet could not contain him or resist his indomitable will, his uncompromising one-pointed zeal for achieving his country's freedom.

The British starved Bengal to prevent the INA entry through Chittagong, yet the Battles of Imphal and Kohima proved to be their undoing as Bose's deeds like wildfire caught the wind across India and ignited the Naval Revolt that precipitated the downfall of the British Empire.

Bose did it in the end. He triggered the collapse of the colonial-imperial order in Asia and reduced Britain to its former island size. This was divine retribution at the hands of the anointed of God.

Jai Hind !

Sugata Bose Deep Mukherjee Please contribute some essays to this group. You have quite a command over the English language. Hence, I request you to comply.

Sugata Bose Ghosh Gorachand Difficult to see how Gandhiji would conspire and had conspired to kill Netaji as you frequently allude to. However, I sincerely thank you for liking the short piece.

Sugata Bose Moiza Najam Thank you. A word more and that is, I am unconnected to the Netaji family, being another Sugata Bose, distinct from the grandnephew of Netaji, the historian Sugata Bose, with whom you may be confusing my identity with, in case you do so.

Sugata Bose Moiza Najam I know it, Moiza. May I request you to write a reminiscence of your grandfather and present it to this group?

Sugata Bose Prithwish Gupta This sort of accurate appreciation will act as a fillip to my writing. Thank you for the same and keep reading, too.
