THE CALL FOR ONENESS

THE CALL FOR ONENESS

The might of the Empire could not break our will. Our revolutionaries willed it that we would be free, united, strong. And so shall it be. The interim period of partitioned bleeding is but the necessary labour of love that mothers endure while giving life to the offspring and so it must be in our mother's case as well.

But like the grown-up children look after the ageing mother, so must we look after ours and bring to fruition her dreams of a united family. So must we repair the damage that has been done by our ignorance thus far as we matured into being. So must we bring to wholeness then our dismembered union and fulfil the grand dreams of our revolutionaries who bled for the integrated mother, who beheld the idea of the one mother and never the many in mutilation.

How can India be or Pakistan or Bangladesh or Burma [Myanmar] or Sri Lanka when all these are integral to the same undivided motherland of ours, the Akhanda Bharatvarsha? Culturally we are one. Politically we shall one day be one, too, and that unity shall last, never to break again.
