RANDOM REFLECTIONS ... 1

RANDOM REFLECTIONS ... 1

1. Being part of an exploitative system, all work tends to social evil. But how to rid oneself of it when the alternate socialist/communist system exploits in a worse manner? A social democracy founded on the philosophy of the Vedanta ought to resolve this exploitative crisis. Om !

2. The problems mount by the day. The solutions dwindle. Human society moves rapidly towards the precipice of annihilation. If a radical shift in human consciousness does not take place now, as it happens in the cyclical advance of evolution, humanity is doomed.

3. There is a need to rewrite history but there is a greater need to read it. The existent history of India few read and it is mere wishful thinking that in an age of increasing apathy towards deep study this trend will change in any way. Hence, the correct use of social media must be the way forward and will serve to be the required corrective in this regard. Online reading of concise essays carrying as their content the essential elements of our history will serve to be the best way of educating our people about the correct narrative of our history. Perhaps, as Professor Makarand Paranjape pointed out, multiple narratives from multiple competing sources ought to be presented before the readers for them to read, reflect, discern, infer and arrive at their respective conclusions.

4. There are many books available to us which give us the correct perspective on our national history and present the correct narrative largely. These are there for us to read and study. But shall we do so or shall we harp on the same tune that we have been denied the knowledge of our true history? Tell me, are we sincere even in our accusations, much less in our enterprise to get down to knowing what we claim to have been denied the knowledge of?
P.S. One such book is 'Asia Reborn...' by Prasenjit Basu. Read and enrich yourself.

5. Blessed are we that we have 'Satyam Shivam Sundaram' as our civilisational motto but cursed are we that we consistently flout these golden principles. The result is for all to see.
