KARMA YOGA 4

The whole of Nature is a vibratory system of thought, and thought constitutes karma. It is a layered construct, this universe of ours, with varying frequencies of vibration holding it in its different phases. And through it all runs the divine thread integrating the whole of the cosmos in bond of love, in divine care despite the cruel wheel of karma seeming to crush life out of things. Grace abounds in this world of ours alongside karmic causality and there is reason to be hopeful that all of life is not just a mechanised system of blind action and reaction but is an evolving system of consciousness being helped along by divine love towards the destination of eventual freedom where karma loses its hold on the realised soul, Maya is transcended and Nature's laws are overcome as the aspirant dissolves in the absolute Self. Like a monarch he surveys Nature then as the field of his cosmic play as he rambles about, a free soul, the jeevanmukta or the living-free, awakening slumbering souls with the clarion call of freedom. For him the karmic bonds have been sundered. But for us? How shall we free ourselves of the shackles of Maya, of karmic bonds and bondage?
