Nation-building is the need of the hour and what better method to do so than follow the blue-print laid down by Vivekananda. Extensive reading of Vivekananda's lectures and writings must be undertaken by the youth of the country so that they are fired up by the ideals of enlightened patriotism as enunciated by Swamiji and are thus inspired to bring about spiritual transformation in their lives leading to national regeneration in the long run. The priceless works of Swamiji must be made available to the lay public on a vast scale at affordable prices with the help of governmental grants consistently and not in a dated manner merely as on the occasion of the sesquicentennial celebration of Swamiji's appearance on Earth. Our government must invest much more in disseminating the grand, harmonic and integrating message of Vivekananda in its bid to foster National Integration. Surely, the country is beset with a myriad problems which threaten its very sovereignty. Fissiparous forces from within in collusion with inimical forces from without today threaten to undermine the very oneness of the Republic of India. If Indians by the millions read Swamiji, then this problem may be addressed and even resolved as the nation invigorated by the thoughts of Vedanta as expounded by Vivekananda will arise, an awakened mass, to defend the Motherland against all enemies domestic or foreign and deliver her from all ills that tend to thwart her progress in the advancing tide of nations. May India rise to the pinnacle of glory holding fast to the ideals set before her by the Rishis of yore and by this modern Rishi---Vivekananda. Jai Hind!
