MY TRIBUTE TO LATE ASHAY SAHAY AND CONDOLENCES TO HER BEREAVED FAMILY OF WHICH WE ALL ARE DEAR MEMBERS
MY TRIBUTE TO LATE ASHAY SAHAY AND CONDOLENCES TO HER BEREAVED FAMILY OF WHICH WE ALL ARE DEAR MEMBERS
Dear Sanjay Choudhry,
Grieved at the loss irreparable and, besides condolences to your family and you in person, my last salutations at those blessed feet, reverence at that form which beheld Netaji, that throbbing heart that felt for the freedom of the motherland, a trait doubtlessly induced in her by paternal influence, the sterling character that cut through colonial corruption and bled to free the Mother, mutilated though by dastardly hands whose deed is not done yet. Great souls rise in gravest crisis to deliver the multitude from 'captive bonds' and such a one was your blessed mother whose golden womb held you. Blessed the mother, blessed the son and blessed the country that ran in her blood, in every pulsation of being that lived but to die for the motherland and has now died to live for her perennially in the annals of history, in passed-on dialogic narrative, folklore that will live on of once-happened history, ages hence almost forgotten save remembered in relics of the past that nonetheless will bear her fossilised memory in the minds of generations unborn but wholly in the great mind of the Mother she fought to free.
Pranām, prātahsmaraniyā punyātmā paralokaprāpta Asha Sahay Choudhry. 🕉
Yours in loss felt,
Sugata Bose
