Devotion that is dark is not devotion. It is a nervous weakness riding a local vitality of sorts, a debility that in extreme consequence turns diabolical. Illumine your mind by dissociation from even 'divine' utterances if need be and by enlightened acceptance of truth irrespective of the source they emanate from. Do not put personality above principle, individual above rationalised insight into the heart of things and organisation above the original ideal which was the mainspring of the movement. Blind devotion corrodes character of the flock and corrupts the shepherds. Such is the testimony of history. Therefore, such blind adulation must in earnest spititual seeking be eschewed.

"Organisation breeds new evils," Swamiji said, and it is very much evident today in the workings that be with infantile minds by the millions following the shepherds, having forsaken reason, judgement, ethical propriety et al to serve the sole cause of a toxic loyalty. And the shepherds, themselves deluded by material hankering in the guise of serving the world, are feeding fuel to this spiralling downward movement of the machinery whose primal purpose was to drill purity into the heart of humanity. Verily, verily, Swamiji, you were right when on that last morn you had muttered, "What this Vivekananda has given, it will take another Vivekananda to understand." Time for you to descend in mortal clay and redress the evil that is eating into the vitals of everything high and noble for which you had bled unto your untimely death.
