Sugata Bose @YouTube [Swami Suhitananda] : Shankaracharya and Ramanucharya have been left out as Avatars here, possibly because they have been deemed Acharyas who are a lot distinct from Avatars. But these two seminal sages have been assigned the status of Avatars elsewhere and, even so, by none other than Swami Vivekananda who was himself an Acharya and dare anyone deny him (Swamiji) his status as Avatar?

Sugata Bose @Satyendra Singh : From the perspective of the body, yes, but Swamiji called the Atman the Real Man which in other terms would mean the Absolute Man in the Brahmic Being. Same with Absolute Woman, for in the Atman there is no differentiation of gender. All things that are relative are subject to change, mutation, transformation and repositioning structurally and by location in the trinity of space-time-causality. Hence, the Chief Justice has a valid point philosophically speaking, so to say, although I am unaware of the context of his aforementioned words. The Absolute never changes for it is the Whole and has no internal interaction of composite fractions which it is devoid of. Man, woman and everything else being held in the realm of relativity are subject to constant change which goes in the name of organic and cosmic evolution and in the reverse phase as involution. This happens because of the interaction of parts, the universe being the conglomerate of all such distinctive parts which have come into being from its primal mass-energy potential and ever since have been holding interactive status. Deep down, though, the basis of all this phenomenal play is the unchanging basis of the Brahman which is the Absolute Being dubbed by Swamiji as the Real Man and extended by me in nomenclature to include woman as well as the Absolute Woman. I wonder if the Chief Justice was influenced by the Vedanta in articulating his words or if it was just an utterance by the pragmatic necessity of the times to which I have unduly attached too much of philosophical significance. 🕉

Sugata Bose @Debashis Chakraborty : Yes, Tulsi Maharaj was a mantra-initiated direct monastic disciple of Thakur who following the rift over the Bangalore Case has by organisational decision been unduly removed from the pantheon of Thakur's direct disciples. We are fighting for his reinstatement as direct disciple of Thakur which he truly is. I shall for your perusal provide you with the pdf link to Brahma Gopal Dutta's book where all such documentary evidence are provided that go to prove Tulsi Maharaj's status as Thakur's disciple and not Swamiji's as Belur Math claims on the basis of which the concerned authorities have removed Tulsi Maharaj from the list of Thakur's monastic disciples.

Sugata Bose @Goutam Bose : For instance, the way devotional music is presented that betrays a lack of sublimity, the way spiritual lectures compromising with commercialism are delivered, the way spiritual organisations unashamedly and using ill-conceived means scout for money in the name of conducting welfare work, the way they propagate their mission by speaking half-truths and highlighting certain specific prophecies only to the exclusion of others that warn of their fall should they violate certain original principles and mandates. These and the manner of their activation, execution, design and delivery reduce Vidyamaya to Avidyamaya with respect to such work.

Sugata Bose @YouTube : Atheism is the precursor to real spirituality based on superconscious experience and not enforced adherence to irrational beliefs. The Vedanta is the future philosophy for true rationalists. Hence, be not diffident about your rational convictions which have pushed you into atheism but be confident that you are on the right track that will take you progressively unto genuine experience of your own godhead which is the summum bonum of the Vedanta. Thou art That!

Sugata Bose @Satchit Roy : Congratulations! A jubilee with a silver lining with many more to come. May Thakur-Ma preserve your love that may spread unto your environs, enriching both others and you, the recipient and giver of such whose source the Lord ever is, seated as He is in the cavity of the heart! Unto golden days ahead then with a diamond sparkle beckoning you on unto a perennial union with your Essence within.

Sugata Bose @Chandra Kumar Bose : The picture seems distorted. Needs to be changed or set right unless deliberately done to put the post into perspective and drive home its import. It hurts the eyes, though, as bad as governmental policy aberrations. Hope someone lends a ear to this observation and does the needful unlike an apathetic government that unconcerned allows the country to drift into chaos. For there are challenges galore, no less the environmental one that is going to be our nemesis in the years ahead with a proliferating people precipitously falling into perdition.

Sugata Bose @Naveena CK : Thank you, Naveena CK, for this literal revelation unto us, that of a poor Muslim by the name Zulfiqar Ali whose grandson you interviewed at Almora, having thirteen decades ago saved a sinking Swamiji by offering him water and kankri (cucumber). Swamiji was a juvenile diabetic and it is quite possible that his starving body had fallen into hypoglycemia whence there would have been no return had it not been for this gracious act of this simple soul who proved the good Samaritan at the critical moment. Alas, all epochal events are composed of such apparently insignificant contributions from the ordinary and the rustic, all masterpieces developed out of simple strokes of the brush of the divine painter, the whole forever being the integration of its infinitesimally differentiated parts! Thus is the small raised unto heights of sublimity, the tiny transformed into the titan and the grand evolved out of its molecular invisible unit which in self-replicating product manifests life on earth. Zulfiqar Ali shines in lustrous memory as the giver of life to the great life-giver, the seminal sage of the Age and of ages to come, Swami Vivekananda of hallowed memory. One hopes this video receives due circulation to highlight this crucial episode in Swamiji's life in wanderjahre. Thanks again for the gleaning of this momentous episode from literally the mouth of its keeper through successive generations of ardent adherence in bond of love to an ancestor and a precipitated pilgrim at his doorstep.

Yours ever in Ramakrishna-Vivekananda,

Sugata Bose

Sugata Bose @YouTube [Swami Trailokyananda] : Fake person. Pretender to spirituality. Sham of a sadhu! Shame! What you have eaten, you are burping thereof. Rectify yourself. Go back to the brahmacharya which you have forsaken. Such disgusting discourse wearing the ochre robe is an insult unto your monastic vows. Reform yourself forthwith before you fall from grace.

Sugata Bose @Abhisek Metya : No. Read the relevant books. Ring up Ramakrishna Math, Udbodhan Karyalaya at Baghbazar to enquire which books to read. Best will be to begin with 'Sri Sri Ramakrishna Leelaprasanga' by Swami Saradananda which is the authentic, original, comprehensive biography of Sri Sri Thakur by his own disciple, a veritable magnum opus in literary terms.

Sugata Bose @Suvadeep Sen : Deleted those photos of the pages from Tagore cited by you here for I thought it improper to use the fruit of your labour by easy absorption of the same for my work at a distant date when I assuredly will forget to attribute it to you owing to the lapse of time and consequent lapse of memory. But thanks, nonetheless, for your magnanimous gesture. I remain an avid reader of your posts which are invariably replete with citations from authoritative sources unlike mine which are quoted from memory that may at times necessarily be at a slight variance with the exact words quoted, though not in meaning, inport or intent for sure. But my writings are not premeditated and flow spontaneously which brooks no opposition in terms of a delay in expression. Hence, the unavoidable predicament of relying on none too soft a memory.

Sugata Bose @Chandra Kumar Bose : To make your posts more appealing, keep this photograph permanently appending them. This one was clicked when you were at the height of your inspired activism, hope and health. Do not change it. The nation needs visual hope, too, as this photograph inspires with Swamiji and Netaji backing it up.

Sugata Bose @Soham Pain : Let me edit it. Thanks, Professor, yet again. You are a gem of an intellectual, the pride of your generation.

Sugata Bose @Biswaroop Mukherjee : The names have been provided so that identification should no more be a problem. Data-filling will take its due time though as a fair bit of research needs to be done. Keep following my posts. Surely, the opportune hour will find me fulfilling my promise, though the quantum of time required being as yet unknown, patience must be the requisite virtue on the part of both writer and reader.

Sugata Bose @Khalid Umar : Superb succinct summary!

Sugata Bose @Pandurang Kulkarni : Don't change my gender. That could spell danger for me.

Sugata Bose @Kumar Utsav : Are you stupid? Don't you know that in the list of direct disciples Belur Math has excluded Tulsi Maharaj? They are doing doublespeak for your kind information. This was for your own satisfaction, not that it really matters as to what you think about the truth which, being adamantly unresponsive to reasonableness, you at any rate don't care for, it seems.

Sugata Bose @Sutanu Chatterjee : Not in that sense have I used but in the sense of narrow tribalism. I understand your concern, though. However, lest it cause offence to any, the post is being duly edited. Thank you, Sutanu, for acting as a true friend in bringing to my notice this unwitting potential offence to our ancestors and to our brethren. A stich in time should save nine. Hence, the editing.

Sugata Bose @Sutanu Chatterjee : Tribals are not brutes but brutes with medieval tribal characteristics have been thus described. However, language being not mathematically precise and subject to multiple interpretation, especially in such a short post where explanations are not possible to provide, it is best to withdraw such words in the light of common misunderstanding that is gaining increasing currency these days of transitional change amidst declining appreciation of the nuances of language.

Sugata Bose @Kumar Utsav : Fools must be addressed this way. Rectify stance and talk sensibly. Else, maintain a studied silence if, of course, you understand what I mean. You have earlier engaged all with your frivolous talk for far too long to deserve any more audience. Now get going.

P.S. And don't forget, there is a usage in English which goes this way, 'incorrigible fool'. Hence  you see, after so much of reasoning when irrationality so persists to the point of exciting exasperation in others, the epithet applied is richly deserved. Reflect on your inconsiderate stance and, sure enough, you will see reason. Swamiji had threatened to throw overboard two such dogmatic persons into the sea. You have been dealt with with much more leniency for all your attempted mischief here on posts related to Tulsi Maharaj's direct discipleship. A gentleman would have accepted gracefully the proofs given and altered belief in the light of furnished truth. Not in your case, though.

Sugata Bose @Sandhya Bhadury : Truth may lose its way for millenia, don't forget. The gory history of the world testifies to that. Civilisation and truth establish themselves in phases alternating with barbarism and untruth in the undulating spiral flow of evolution. And to rescue truth from its nemesis falsehood, a bitter struggle has to be waged each time. Nothing happens on its own. Great struggle, sacrifice and pain are the price truth extracts for its reestablishment each time.

Sugata Bose @Ramakrishnan Mahadevan : You did not quite catch the spirit of the post. It means precedence must be given to principle and not to personality. This was the view of none other than Swamiji.

Sugata Bose @Ramakrishnan Mahadevan : Ah! You miss the idea and catch the idol there which is exactly what the post purportedly cautions one against.

Sugata Bose @Ramakrishnan Mahadevan It seems you would worship the book rather than read its content. And do not be presumptuous about my knowledge of Swamiji and interpretation of his message thereof. I have spent a lifelong of ascetic study of Swamiji to not deserve supercilious comments from you thus. Intellectual paucity makes today a mockery of what Swamiji stood for. Enough unto the day is the evil thereof. No wonder Swamiji had said that the country had veritably rotted and it seems the rot is still on.

Sugata Bose @Ramakrishnan Mahadevan : Enlightening! Never since Swamiji have I come across such a sage as you are. What seminal thoughts! What incisive assessment of others! What elevating analysis, allusions and atomic interpretation, right to the nuclear self! Indeed, the Satya Yuga has dawned.

Sugata Bose @Ramakrishnan Mahadevan : You have not understood the underlying meaning of the post. Hence, your observation the way it is. You are completely off-mark with regard to the post. However, that is the sad predicament of the times, an age of declining intellectual culture where pedestrian interpretation, rather misinterpretation, is in common currency.

Sugata Bose @Ramakrishnan Mahadevan : This post has nothing to do with the worship of God with form (Saguna Sakara Brahman) or the formless God (Saguna Nirakar Brahman). It has a completely different intellectual setting which you fail to appreciate on account of your misreading of the meaning of the post. Hence, deliberation becomes skewed with no hope of intersection of minds as thus far the dialogue has shown. Meditate on the meaning of the words in an altered light with lateral perspective and you will come to reason. Till then chew on this.

Sugata Bose @Ramakrishnan Mahadevan : Read Swamiji through and through. Dedicate your life to the study of his works. I am happy to see you making at least a cursory reading of his message and works. But deepen your study further and be at peace. May Swamiji bless you!

Sugata Bose @Ramakrishnan Mahadevan : You have needlessly drawn Swamiji into the picture when the post does not have anything to do with him. Anyhow, that is the way the brain operates, I guess, within its own ambit of encircled experience and thinking. Read literature more to be able to appreciate the nuances of language and their corresponding import.

Sugata Bose @Amlan Kusum Ghosh : Everything is good except for the cost of conveyance from India to Canada and back home will have to be borne by you. These westerners are clever consumers, preferring to earn but not to burn resources as it were. But that is the way of the world, each person attempting to make the most of this mango called the world in his own meanest way, missing thereby the marvel that lies locked within the hard uncraked seed, the seat of all fruition.
