PERSONALITY AND THE PRINCIPLE
Personality ever fails to reach the ideal even as it aspires for it, for the finite can never attain the infinite save by self-dissolution, and personality necessarily dissolves in the absolute which the ideal is. So are humans found failing in their attainment of the ideal and personality ever falls short of the principle. A few blessed ones, though, give up their humanness altogether to merge with the ideal and it is these that we then adore as incarnations of the ideal.
