Sugata Bose Beautiful flowing dance, Ratul (Urmimala Gupta). I was reminded of Uday Shankar's easy limb movement when I watched you do the same with even greater grace. What poetry in motion! A befitting tribute to the Poet who had welcomed the Mahatma with a like fluid arm movement in garlanding his guest at Shantiniketan.Sugata Bose What a bright child! Radiant with an apostolic glow! @ Nilanjana ChakrabortySugata Bose You are right, Rajyashree Devi. How can we as a free nation allow our first President and our first Prime Minister in Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose to be dubbed a 'War Criminal'? Does it not hurt our national pride? Would, say, for instance, China endure this ignominy were it to be its lot to have the same historical circumstances at the time of its maturity into modern nationhood? Yet, we have been enduring this humiliation for over seven decades. This raises a serious question. Are we really a fully free nation? What is our true status as an independent nation strictly in the eyes of international law? Why do we owe allegiance to the British Crown still if we are fully independent? Which brings me to the pertinent question --- Is our membership in the British Commonwealth of Nations mandatory through legal binding of the Transfer of Power Agreement, 1947? If so, then we are still slaves of the British and not free by any stretch of imagination. I await your response.Sugata Bose Where have I said that man was nowhere? Also, you must define man the right way, that is speaking from the perspective of Advaita Vedanta. Terms will have to be defined well and adhered to for, otherwise, they mean just nothing beyond colloquial confusion of conceptions or assumptions of no consequence in a rational discussion.Sugata Bose Well, that is not the subject matter of discussion here. It is extraneous to it. Who carried the idea 'mountain'? Did the mountain create man?Sugata Bose God is, of course, relative to human conception when you look at it in the phenomenal sense. And in the absolute sense there is neither man nor God. It is an undivided non-dual existence absolute that transcends the mind, conception, language and thought. It is then an unbreakable solidarity of existence.Sugata Bose Gora Chakraborty Mahashay, please do not post disrespectful stuff in the form of giffys by way of comment. Moreover, they are not possible even to delete. Hence, you will be well-advised to see what you post before posting them. The present one is utterly incongruous and ought not to have been posted here. And this is not the first time I am encountering these sorts of giffys from your side. Evidently, they are not to my taste and I would request you not to post them any further.Sugata Bose I may be wrong but I am inclined to believing that an unmusical person cannot realise God.Sharmistha Chatterjee The quality of music is such that it acts as a boon and encompasses all, who surrenders to it. It harmonises our soul with the order of the universe as perfect stillness and silence bears a music of its own.Sugata Bose Ah, what music in linguistic expression, Sharmistha, an elemental synthesis of the soul!Sugata Bose WHEN THE GOING GOES AWRY AND FANFARE BORDERS ON FANATICISM
These epithets are not to be taken literally. These merely highlight people's personal estimations, entirely personal and not universal in any way. They are to be regarded thus and their spirit appreciated if that is not too difficult. This is the common man's expression of devotion and not something that anybody is thrusting on another. Like someone has posted it, so also someone has quipped in with a moderating comment, and that is the beauty of the common discourse here on social medium where each one is a reporter, a writer, a reader and a critic in successive and alternate terms. So you see.

Prithwindra Mukherjee Sugata Babu,/When we claim to be on the look out for the Truth ("Netaji, married or remained a bachelor ?") , do we have the right to guarantee simultaneously such loose epithets ? What are we fighting against (or, rather fighting for) ? Are we to cultivate the false " beauty of the common discourse here on social medium" or set standards of judgment as supplied by "scientific" research ? Have you seen the Italian classic film BLOW UP ? It explores the right of someone who happened to discover a "true" fact: can he stoop to identify with the "beauty of the common discourse" (an imaginary tennis match, without any racket or ball or net). I think my point is sufficiently clear.Sugata Bose The problem is you address the wrong person. It was not I who put up the post but apparently you arbitrarily chose to hold me culpable for it. Why do you not be specific with your objections and direct such directly to the so-called offenders to your sense of propriety about the nature of justice and truth? Evidently, you forget that much goes on in social media over which you have no control save to voice your counter-protest, but it ought to be directed to the target proper and not to anyone and everyone of your convenience.
