BOSE, A TOTAL REVOLUTIONARY

Subhas Chandra Bose was a total revolutionary. He was the only major leader of the Congress who used both non-violent and armed revolutionary methods including waging full-scale war against the enemy to help dislodge the barbarous British regime from India and with it from the face of the earth subsequently.

Bose was a titanic force for the British to combat and they feared him like anything, so much so that assassination attempts on him were made multiple times without success and he was in their estimation the Empire's 'enemy number one' who had to be done away with at any cost. But like his predecessor in the revolutionary ranks, Rash Behari Bose, Subhas Chandra Bose outsmarted the British at every bend and turn and, eventually, despite defeat in WW II, brought about the collapse of the British Empire in India and the world thereafter. Herein lies the world significance of Bose as a maker of history and as the liberator of subjugated peoples across the world. It is time that we, Indians, wake up to his epic contributions towards the emancipation of suppressed humanity everywhere. Jai Hind!
