PAKISTAN IT HAS BEEN FOR OVER A THOUSAND YEARS IN INDIA
So far as India is concerned, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan was born the day Islamic invasion came to Sindh with the onslaught of Muhammad bin Qasim. Medieval Arab barbarism was inflicted on highly civilised India. This was the beginning of it all in our undivided motherland, later to be truncated by the same malefic force during independence.
Ghaznavi, Taimur, Ghori, Khilji, Tughlaq, the Mughals and, finally, Jinnah --- they all joined hands in sequential flow to undermine Hindu culture and the dharma, destroy temples to the tune of tens of thousands and build mosques by the very material there, butcher millions when they resisted the rule and the proselytising of the faith, convert by force countless millions of Hindus, levy the Jizya on the survivors and eventually dismember the motherland in the ill-fated Partition. Pakistan it was all the way, right from the darkening first cloud that covered the glorious sun that had shone over Bharatvarsha for millenia.

P.S. : Subash Dhar, I thank you for suggesting me the idea in the first place which prompted me to come up with this brief write-up. Your suggestion clarified my understanding about the antiquity of the idea 'Pakistan' in so far as India is concerned. The original idea has scriptural roots even earlier and that is what prompted the conquest of Sindh, Islamic scholars say. It was the prophecy of Ghazwa-e-Hind that had led to the waging of the first war by the Arabs on the Indian subcontinent.
I have recorded above the facts as they are known to me. These are not discussed in the public fora too often to avoid (a) fanatical backlash (b) inflammation of passions among the rowdies who may then go about rampaging the innocent (c) being labelled Islamophobe.
