WORDS, WORDS, FROTHY WORDS AMOUNTING TO NOTHING ... 1

Words amount to nothing. It is the energy animating them that enlivens a sleeping mass of men unto life and action. Then comes change that spirals civilisation upwards. Such energy is the evolving means, the stuff of which civilisation is made. And this energy is locked in the soul of man.

Deep, deep beneath the surface personality lies an ocean of impersonal consciousness which for its unlimitedness is termed superconscious. This shoreless infinite ocean of subliminal radiance is the receptacle of all power. 

The wave knows not the ocean and yet is ever the ocean in its undulating swell and subsiding. Ever rising from and falling into its vast mother-body, the wave yet in its sense of separate identity remains unconscious of its vaster integrated self. So also man, a wave in the infinite ocean of phenomenal manifestation, subsistence and dissolution, remains oblivious of his true nature. The compelling conditions that constrain him into limited understanding, imagination and endeavour are possible to overcome and the process is called yoga.
