CAN MATERIALISM SAVE MANKIND?

What is communism in practice? Force, brutality, barbaric destruction of spiritual culture, the throttling of human rights and freedom of expression, the murder of humanity in the name of socioeconomic transformation and the annihilation of millions to impress upon the populace the system. But can it last? No. It has fallen in its first home, the Soviet Union and its Warsaw Pact allied countries, and it remains in altered dictatorial-capitalist terms in China where it will eventually succumb to the forces of history before it disappears for good. 

Tibet suffers even today. Its religious culture has been near obliterated and it remains in trace form only among a handful of Himalayan refugees in India which has given its persecuted and fleeing children shelter for which it has had to pay a very heavy price. But that does not mean that crony capitalism is not brutal as well. Even that is a silent blood-sucking system that slowly saps the vitality of a people through its gluttony, greed and exploitative mechanism chiselled to scientific perfection. Humanity suffers either way. Alas!
