DECLINING CULTURE AND ITS POSSIBLE REVERSAL ... 2

DECLINING CULTURE AND ITS POSSIBLE REVERSAL ... 2

It is futile complaining over the ever-declining culture for doing so will not mend matters. What is necessary is an action plan that will help improve things and initiate a gradual revival of culture. The tradition is there, only its adherents are few and far between. But whosoever can be found worthy of receiving this legacy of the past masters and carrying it forward must be encouraged through active support to do so, so that the flame of culture is kept alive for the while, even if feebly, till the master emerges from the shadows to arrive in the sunlit meadows of efflorescent art. We must, thus, make sure that each one of us devotes some time of the day to the pursuit of culture, be it art, music, literature, science, whatsoever it may be. Thus, the standard of the arts and the sciences will rise in society leading to progression in culture. This will be the deterrent to its present steep decline that is so affecting all of us.
