The resurgence of India must be along scientific lines for that alone can ameliorate the despicable living conditions of the poor. Let us feed them, clothe them, shelter them, educate them, employ them and nurse them well before we offer them the unpalatable principles of high-flown philosophy.
The belly that needs bread can scarce digest spicy principles which offer limpid spaces for the soul while the body suffers. Religion must be made practical before it is offered to these divinities who daily bear the insult of a famished living while receiving a plentiful supply of pious promises and dangling ever-shifting hopes.
