DECLINING CULTURE AND ITS POSSIBLE REVERSAL ... 5

DECLINING CULTURE AND ITS POSSIBLE REVERSAL ... 5

It is so difficult to get a kindred spirit in life who can resonate to one's being. The trivialities of life make a mockery of what ought to be a sublime experience otherwise. But the right combinations seldom happen and life is rendered dry and hollow. It is here that one must overcome surface barriers by diving deep within, by pursuing a lifelong passion such as music or art or literature or even the sciences that can lift one out of the morass of mundane living and career one unto ethereal heights where one may freely fly like a 'skylark' that 'bird' hast never been. In such limpid spaces the soul, shorn of earthly attachments, can soar freely and drink in the delights of fanciful flight. This sublimity of living, this divorce of daily deliberations of mundane living, this capacity to dive deep, to fly high over earthly limits set, such escape into the higher realm, the deeper domain, constitutes the core of cultured living and it is this that is the delightful departure into the unknown along uncharted terrain, across seen and unseen horizons. And it is this that is at the heart of the cultural renaissance.
