THE STONE AGE MAN AND HIS CUTTING-EDGE MESSAGE

We are living in the Stone Age still for our ideas are so fixed in holy books and passages, inviolable and sacrosanct, even as they stagnate and stink in a dynamic world of necessary change. And the stone cuts out fresh edges to itself and so does society, structured and static, evolve, slowly but surely. The interplay of forces will not allow an atom rest, leave alone thinking humanity. 

Someone once said, "You know, God has given us the freedom to think." And the rejoinder came, "And what if He had not? Would you then not think?" The lady could only answer, "Sir, you are very intelligent." And there the invitation to faith ended as the proselytiser broke off into a disarmed and a disarming smile to seek fresher recruits to the fold, perhaps, along the selfsame way but hopefully with better results.
