THE SLOW DECIMATION OF HINDU INFLUENCE ACROSS THE FACE OF ASIA

THE SLOW DECIMATION OF HINDU INFLUENCE ACROSS THE FACE OF ASIA

Swamiji had said that the degeneration of a race begins the day it starts hating itself. This is what today afflicts the Hindus with vast numbers resorting to self-hatred and vituperation against Hindu organisations who are trying to safeguard Hindu interests. Such suicidal tendency can only obliterate Hindu religion and culture from the face of the earth as has been its historical fate since over a millennium with Hindu influence, once vibrant and flourishing throughout Asia, having shrunk by the centuries and even today shrinking by the day.

Hinduism and Buddhism had spread throughout the then known world and civilised much of it. Alas, those golden days are gone! Much of Asia where Hindu influence was once paramount has now fallen into the fold of Islam. Not only that, the very subcontinent of Bharatvarsha has been partitioned into several sections with Buddhist Afghanistan and Hindu Pakistan and Bangladesh falling to Islamic totalitarian dominance. Kashmir, the seat of Kashmiri Shaivism, has been partially snatched away by Pakistan and what remains within India's borders has been Islamised beyond Hindu recognition. West Bengal, Assam, Kerala and Karnataka are all seeing growing Islamic influence and dwindling Hindu presence. There are reasons galore why this civilisational decimation of the Hindus should be happening thus for over thirteen hundred years. But that would draw us into an elaborate discussion which at present is being shelved.
