A MAGICAL MATHEMATICAL COINCIDENCE 

This is the dynamite the evangelical Christians fear the most. His being, his presence and the universal principles that he preached are a threat to the propagation of their exclusive ideology.

Vivekananda had exploded on the American scene in the last decade of the nineteenth century and he has ever since been silently working to transform America and with it the world. It is no less ironic than mathematically magical that 108 is the number we, Hindus, attribute to holiness in the sense that 108 beads there are in the Hindu rosary, 108 is the number we prefix before naming holy personalities and it was exactly 108 years to the very day that America was brought down to its knees by Islamic terrorism on 11 September, 2001 when the World Trade Towers were brought down and the Pentagon, the seat of American military power, was hit by incoming aeroplanes, the While House having narrowly escaped, thanks to brave patriotism of the passengers of the plane who combated the hijackers to bring down the plane itself before it could reach its target.

This coincidence is simply strange, especially as America has neglected to even unwrap the gift of spirituality that Vivekananda gave her 108 years before that fateful New York day in another metropolis of that great country, the bustling city of Chicago. Had America heeded the message that Vivekananda brought her home on 11 September, 1893, she would, perhaps, not have had to see this horrific day of 11 September, 2001, and the world would have been spared much of the violence that America has inflicted on it with impunity in all of those years. The twin towers were hit by aeroplanes and so were the twin cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, both exercises in diabolism that were the result of ignorance of the higher principles of life that Vivekananda had carried to the shores of America.
