The promise of a perennial Paradise postmortem is too enticing, it seems, to many who live out this fleeting life to pass the earthly test for possible admission there, or, better by far and more secure, to be martyred in the holy cause for direct entry into heaven's delights. Few, alas, of these gullible ones seek recourse to evolutionary science to find the fallacy of these facile suppositions. And the sheer fear of hell-fire that induces subscription to these beliefs!
