NOT QUITE THE LAST PHOTOGRAPH, NEITHER LEON PROUCHANDY ON VIEW

NOT QUITE THE LAST PHOTOGRAPH, NEITHER LEON PROUCHANDY ON VIEW

That picture here is with a gentleman called Ramakrishna, snapped in Port Blair, Andamans, when Netaji visited it in December 1943, and not with Leon Prouchandy of Saigon, Indo-China (Vietnam), as erroneously circulated on social media. Netaji is here seen smiling at Ramakrishna who was the President of the Indian Independence League in the Andamans. The atmosphere overall is one of a relaxed jollity of sorts as opposed to the terribly tensed atmosphere that must have obtained in Saigon on the 17th of August, the penultimate day of Netaji's known sojourn on earth. I hope to have clarified the issue and removed misconceptions, if any, about the identity of the gentleman seen here facing Netaji.
