OBSERVATIONS 1-5

OBSERVATIONS ... 5

Often tears come in the name of the Lord, not because we love Him but because we love ourselves. Our hopes and aspirations are centred in the Lord which causes such emotional outflow. What is wanted, though, is pure love for the Lord, untainted by aught of self.

OBSERVATIONS ... 4

This temporal is all that interests people. The gross finds reference alone, the subtle endures neglect. What a vast indifference for the Real !

OBSERVATIONS ... 3

There is a need for a comprehensive series of books that will include detailed biographies of the greats of the Bengal awakening, popularly known as the Bengal Renaissance. This series will enlighten the world about they who enlightened Bengal at the onset of the modern age.

OBSERVATIONS ... 2

Hyper-conservatism is the bane of civilisation. It retards progress by adhering to past decadence. The free flow of life is thus impeded and society stagnates in the drag of the dead past.

We must break free from obsolete practices and reach out to fresh horizons with vigour and delight. The past experience of the race must surely be our beacon but in helping us to free from fetters and never by way of binding us afresh. The inertia of the past must be overcome by quantum leaps into the unknown.

There is glory in freedom, ignominy in bondage. Break free.

OBSERVATIONS ... 1

Intense activity in the service of all, beholding the Divine within, with eternal restfulness reigning yet -- this is the ideal of life this time. Such is the prescription of the preceptor perennial, such the injunction for the age.
