A LETTER AFTER A LONG LAPSE

A LETTER AFTER A LONG LAPSE

Dear members,

It has been quite a while that I have not had the occasion to address you, for there arose no such necessity to do so. But today a particular member's unwarranted and rather rude advice to me has necessitated this brief address. Hence, patiently bear with me and read through this piece of my articulated mind.

This group is neither for nor against any particular theory about Netaji in absentia. It caters to all possible information about Netaji and all aspects of his 'life' after disappearance. Hence, no particular theory will be given greater or lesser credence than the others. All are welcome to posit their views unreservedly but in civilised diction. The administrator remains neutral in his approval of posts and will not cower under pressure from any quarter regarding the same. Fanaticism about Netaji is not welcome, though, neither a supercilious attitude of some members towards others by dint of their supposed superior understanding about our iconic hero who is the life-blood of this group.

One more feature needs to be emphasised. Although, quite naturally, the greater attention of members is on the disappearance issue related to Netaji, this group page fundamentally caters to the historically chronicled Netaji. All post-disappearance data that are printed here are by way of corollary studies to the essential personality of Subhas Chandra Bose and his greater dimension, Netaji, Supreme Commander of the INA.

One final word. I would like to remind members to be civil to the Administrator of this group as well and not just to each other. Even the Administrator deserves your consideration as an individual tirelessly striving to keep the group going full-swing without harbouring any expectation in return. The least you can do for him is to stop advising him rudely what he ought or ought not to do for the group. Once more I reiterate I will not allow this group to be representative of a single line of thinking or a particular school of thought regarding Netaji but will strive to keep it a neutral democratic platform for all aspects of his historically chronicled life and 'life' post-disappearance to be discussed and debated, albeit, in a well-mannered civilised way.

Thanking you,
Yours sincerely,
Sugata Bose (Netaji group Administrator)
