A CASE OF ONLINE OPTICAL MISREPRESENTATION
A few days ago a post appeared online with an appended photograph in which Hemanta Kumar Sarkar was misrepresented as Beni Madhav Das. This was by way of remembrance of the latter on his death anniversary on 2 September, 2019. The error eluded the attention of most including mine and I inattentively had even approved of the article on the 'Netaji' group page, overlooking the optical lapse. This morning I realised my folly and am doing the needful by way of corrective measure which is as follows :
The photo attached to the left of the frame is that of Netaji's boyhood buddy, Hemanta Kumar Sarkar, and not that of his adored Headmaster, Beni Madhav Das, of Ravenshaw Collegiate School, Cuttack. I have accordingly brought it to your notice and here attached the correct photograph of the venerable Headmaster to the right.
