IN RESPONSE TO ALOK N CHATTOPADHYAYA'S LUMINOUS REFERENCE BY WAY OF COMMENT ON THE PRIMAL AND THE FINAL UNVIBRATED SOUND, THE VOID-WORD, ॐ

Sugata Bose : ॐ is the condensed creation, the symbol of the Divine.

Alok N Chattopadhyaya : 'Om' is not created. It is not under domain of any creator or destroyer. It is beyond time and space. It's not kinetic energy. Everything remains in Om. It can be perceived, cannot be described.

Sugata Bose : Alok Babu, I am afraid you did not quite catch the nuance of the statement which essentially means that 'Om' is the transcendent integrated formlessness of cosmic manifestation. That is what has been cryptically meant by 'condensed', as in 'collapsed unto the simplest substantial nothingness of sorts, the seed of all that is or all that can be. Also, as stated above, the word 'creation' has been used with a modicum of poetic licence to go by it and essentially means 'cosmic manifestation'. So, your objection is well-founded but it seems you did not quite get the drift of the poetry resorted to here by way of spontaneous literary embellishment which, hopefully, could yet convey the intended original philosophical essence of the vacuous subject which is so on account of it being the summation of all universal attributes and events of zero resultant resolution.

A larger defence on my part would entail a far more elaborate analysis of the original aphorism, word for word, which circumstance would prevent, for it would be quite a treatise on the Seed Word than these cryptic posts would merit. So, in good faith that I do receive your gracious reprieve from the arduous exercise, I desist from engagement in any such elaborate endeavour.

Alok Babu, your enlightened participation in online philosophical deliberation has rendered it an exercise in interactive excellence what otherwise would have been merely a reflexive activity conducing to addressing one's own self from which boring predicament you and those of your tribe have saved us. I heartily welcome, therefore, your responsive comment and look forward to future such luminous references that will light up my profile wall with the profundity of their content. Thank you for being such a wonderful perceptive reader of my insignificant posts. I feel honoured to have been accorded your esteemed friendship.
