THE NOXIOUS ONE
Nehru had well learnt the tricks of the trade of British politics and applied them full measure against his political opponents. Gandhiji's selection of protege was, indeed, proof of his unerring insight into the human personality which was his primary domain as Mahatma ! In the end the Mahatma lamented his decision, albeit a bit too late when the fate of the motherland had been sealed. Patel, Prasad, Pant, Pattabhi et al --- all of the Mahatma's bandwagon had been effectively sidelined by the master manipulator of modern India whose Nehr (waterfall) poured toxic streams into the soil of the motherland to render it sterile. Netaji had earlier disappeared from the scene and it became a free zone for Gandhi's Jawahar to sell the fortunes of India to Britain, Pakistan and China.
That so many continue to call the pretentious one 'Chacha' (Uncle) and address one devoid of spiritual knowledge or character worth the while with so much reverence is a pointer to the degradation we have suffered as a race. It is high time that we alter status and re-read our history and perceive its perfidies which have reduced us in stature as a nation. And when we have done so, here is a prophecy I make : Nehru will stand exposed for many a betrayal of the motherland's interests for which few will ever forgive him.
