RESURRECTING KASHMIR ... 1

RESURRECTING KASHMIR ... 1

Indoctrination in radical Islam must be countered by proliferation of the Vedanta. Mere preaching will fail. The life will have to be lived.

Architecture is fine, the building of places of worship, but ideal lives will have to be built that will serve as nuclei of spiritual inspiration. Only then will the enthusiasm carry and transform lives so that perceptible changes take place in the polity and radicalisation is overcome by the liberalising influence of spiritual realisation.

Vibrations count and they only come from souls, fearless and free, loving and embracing, luminous and leading. The children will have to be protected from Islamic indoctrination and provided nationalistic education that will not only wean them away from radical Islamic ideology but will instead foster in them spiritual values of the Vedanta and ethical ideas of essential humanism. This in turn will foster patriotism instead of separatist tendencies aimed at debilitating the nation.

All this is a far cry as of now, though, as Islamism holds radicalised minds in the troubled terrain of Kashmir Valley and it will take decades, perhaps, to bring back sanity and spiritual sanctity to this erstwhile heaven on earth, the seat of Sanskrit learning and of Shaivism, Buddhism et al.
