How does Dr. Subramanian Swamy stay so fresh? Is it early morning rise? Is it purity and self-discipline? Is it patriotic work done as sacrificial service to the nation? Or is it the result of all of this? Dr. Swamy's shining face and simple childlike mischievous smile betrays an inner peace and joy which is hard to find in the politicians of the day, so overburdened they are by their sense of guilt and falsity of projected being. One wishes he would be assigned the responsibility of a heavy portfolio like Home, Defence or Finance but, alas! our PM, perhaps, is a trifle too wary of this dynamite of a being to be able to assign him such responsibility with a fair sense of self-security.
And it is a shame that it should be so. This is exactly the reason why growing mediocrity in a dispensation ruins its future prospects and ushers in its own inevitable downfall. Hope better sense prevails and Dr. Swamy is given his due, for the nation deserves his services more than ever so now. With my good wishes and prayers for his sustained health and happiness, I remain an ardent admirer and staunch supporter of Dr. Swamy's cause of national regeneration along the Hindu line of universal culture devoid of pretentious liberal inclusiveness.
