FAR INTO THE FUTURE ... 1

The nucleus of the future Order must be from the harmonised souls who will embody all that is best in all cultures on the basis of the Vedanta. The philosophy of the Vedanta will form the unitary basis and the beyond of all dualism that may persist in sectarian cults and in all shades of religious denominations so that conflict of exclusive existence may be avoided on the basis of this broad understanding that all paths are essentially routes to the same ocean of light, love and being, although expressed in varying mode and manner as per the imperatives of their historical genesis. This will mean that amendments may have to be made to the texts of these faiths to suit them to modern times, and, should that be impossible owing to strictures of the relevant scriptures, then the flock following such paths of the Spirit will have to make practical adjustments in their adherence to such rigid principles by relegating them to disuse or observing them partially as per the requirements of harmonic co-existence with believers of other faiths. In this way exclusiveness will have to be dealt with as humanity advances in its onward march through expanding horizons.

Society keeps changing with the passage of time as conditions, ever in a flux, keep altering and the psycho-physiological evolution of diverse peoples in this world keeps moving along asymmetrical lines making for constant shift in the human power balance between nations and between races. The dynamics of terrestrial human evolution are so complex, so very convoluted that to arrive at a surface synthesis of opposed principles by stressing on superficial likenesses will be puerile, and past and present experience of the inter-faith movement bear testimony to this effect. Hence, the union of apparently unlike principles will have to be sought at a depth where divergences meet and harmony in essence prevails. The philosophy of the Vedanta comes in handy here and offers the only window of opportunity for conflicting cultures to converge and coalesce into a harmonic world culture where unity of essence, origin and existence allows for the free play of diversity of practice along variant radial lines of terrestrial outflow.
