নেপথ্যে কে?

এক বিশ্বশক্তি কাজ করছে জগৎ সংসারে, এ সিদ্ধান্ত প্রায় সর্বজনগৃহীত | সকল ধর্মের মানুষই প্রায় এই মতাবলম্বী | বৈজ্ঞানিককুলও এই ধারণাই পোষণ করে থাকেন যদিও তাঁদের পরিভাষা ভিন্ন | হিন্দুরা এই শক্তিকে মাতৃসম্বোধনে ভূষিত করেছেন --- ' या देवी, सवॅभभुतेषु शक्तिरूपेण संस्थिता / या देवी, सवॅभुतेषु मातृरुपेण संस्थिता...' --- এবং এঁকে বিশ্বসংসারের প্রসবকর্ত্রী, পালনকর্ত্রী ও প্রলয়কর্ত্রী বলে অভীহিত করেছেন | শ্রী রামকৃষ্ণ এই পরমাপ্রকৃতিকে আদ্যাশক্তি মহামায়া বলতেন ও তাঁকে সৃষ্টি, স্হিতি, প্রলয়ের মহানায়িকারূপে দেখতেন যাঁর ইচ্ছায় জগৎসংসার নিয়মিত হচ্ছে নিরন্তর | তিনি ইচ্ছাময়ী জগদ্ধাত্রী যাঁর লীলামাত্র এই ভূলোকে সঙ্ঘটিত জীবননাট্য, যাঁর পদছন্দে ধরিত্রীর জীবনস্রোত নিয়মিত হয় | এই মহামায়াই কালী যিনি কালের সাথে রমণ করেন, ঠাকুর বলতেন | এই মহাকালীরই ভক্ত ছিলেন ঠাকুর, তাঁরই অনুরক্ত সন্তান আবার স্বয়ং সেই জগজ্জননী দেবীই ছিলেন তিনি | এর প্রমাণ আমরা পাই ঠাকুরের মহাসমাধির দিন শ্রীমা সীরদা দেবীর বিলাপমন্রে যখন তিনি শোকসন্তপ্তচিত্তে তাঁর অন্তরের ব্যথা ব্যক্ত করেন এই ভাবে --- "মা কালী আমার কোথায় গেলি রে?"

Who's behind?

A vast cosmic force is working out the destiny of the world. This is more or less universally accepted as the truth. Followers of all faiths are are more or less agreed on this. Even the scientific community majorly subscribes to this theory, although, their mode of expression regarding this differs from the common run of humanity. The Hindus have addressed this force as the Universal Mother --- 'या देवी, सवॅभभुतेषु शक्तिरूपेण संस्थिता / या देवी, सवॅभुतेषु मातृरुपेण संस्थिता...' --- and have described Her as the creator, sustainer and destroyer of the universe. Sri Ramakrishna used to call this Universal Nature as the Primeval Force of Maya and beheld Her as the cosmic controller of causality. Hers is the will that sports as the terrestrial drama even as She holds the world together and guides the flow of life on earth in sympathetic rhythm to Her every footfall. Mahamaya Herself is Kali who is in eternal union with Time --- this used to be the frequent refrain of Ramakrishna. Thakur was the devotee of this Kali, was Her loving son and was yet the Universal Mother Herself. The glowing testimony to this is the Holy Mother's piteous cry on beholding the form of her departed divine husband, which remains to this day a unique expression of grief, almost mantra-like in its majesty. In a spontaneous lament she let it out thus : "O my Mother Kali, where have you gone?"
