Swami Vivekananda was immeasurably greater than any other seminal genius of his times other than his spiritual preceptor, Ramakrishna Paramahamsa. Sister Christine has testified to this effect. I also believe so.

Swamiji ranks as one of the greatest souls ever born in the whole history of humankind.

Lived life that pulsates with the pristine poetry of spiritual excellence dwells far above the poetry that comes with composed verse. The Rishi stands towering over poets and authors like a colossus reigning over mere mortals. There is just no comparison.

Swamiji, like Thakur, transformed lives. His was a volcano erupting to metamorphose human society and send it careering upwards in its evolutionary train unlike ripple-marks left behind in verse that are the intellectual's delight for sure but are not of depth-significance in terms of their transformative power of human trends and inclinations that can hasten human evolution.

Swamiji was head and shoulders above his famous contemporaries then and with every passing generation the gap seems to be widening, and rightly so, for he simply was and remains nonpareil.
