PRINCIPLE ABOVE PERSONALITY, PLEASE

If religion is based on truth, why worship divine incarnations, messiahs and prophets? Why adore them at all? Let us seek truth instead, independent of all such adoration of personality. Let principle prevail over personality. Science does it and has emerged triumphant. The Vedic dharma did it once and a wonderful civilisation emanated out of it.

If personality be eschewed from its infantile adoration, much of the fanaticism and persecution centring religion will vanish. This is what Swamiji must have wished for when he had said, "Let the lion of Vedanta roar."
