MUSIC, THE SOUL OF LIFE
Music is a state to be reached and the sublimity involved in this attaining perfection in it is comparable to the spiritual pursuit of the sage in the making without aught of earth contaminating the endeavour. It is no ordinary perseverance that leads to final fruition but the combination of inborn talent, tutelage under a master musician and the lifelong loving exercise of the heart, soul and body that lends eventual liberation from the shackles of notes and beats unto the fluid movement of the dancing raga, now abashed and hesitant like a bashful young maid, now careering through with sprightly steps as the dainty brook's pebble-flow.
Music, the love of the universe, the language of the gods, the soul of expression is to be reached in venerated uplift of the spirit and the body and the musician must be one with it. Then musician dissolves in music as the trinity of the singer, the song and the audience are absorbed in an all-encompassing oneness. Through the ebb and flow of life, my Lord, may my soul uplift to such a state of sublimity, such a serene sense of oneness!

The exquisiteness of the rendition has reinstated my hope that all is not lost with Indian classical music and that all are not pretenders to performance. My love and affection to Subhamita and gratitude beyond bounds for this restoration of faith in me in the as yet possible resurrection of superior rendition approximating to divinity.
