JUST TO EMPHASISE ... 1

JUST TO EMPHASISE ... 1

Truthfulness and commitment to a cause are fundamental to the process of spiritual awakening without which revolutionary activity becomes impossible. Politicians with bent character and crooked hearts are scarce able to discharge their duties in public office owing to this lack of fundamental training in ethical living. Hence, the nation can rise only if we go back to seek inspiration from the heroes of our national reawakening beginning with Raja Rammohun Roy and ending with Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. Rammohun and Vivekananda form the central pillars of our nation-building and they were ably followed by a galaxy of luminaries who set the tone to the reestablishment of our national life. India was not born into nationhood on 15 August, 1947 but was merely freed from colonial-imperial bondage on that day. India had existed for millenia as a nation by then and it was only a reaffirmation of that original status that was initiated that day.
