BE HUMAN
Give up sectarianism, give up intolerance if you have any pretension to being a human being. Discard your faith in any religion that is exclusive and holds that it alone is true. Truth is one but the ways to approach it are many. Hence, it does not become a modern man or woman to subscribe to archaic arbitration on what they should or should not believe.
Religious texts that preach intolerance towards other faiths must be forthwith relegated to the archives of history and their principles no more practised if peace and amity are to obtain in human society. Man is far greater than any imaginary God or any so-called revealed reading into His will that was later codified into fixed dogma and inviolable principle having no basis in objective truth or rational justification, though. Hence, it is of primary moment to consider whether in this age of superior knowledge and understanding of the principles of life and Nature we should give so much credence to medieval misreadings of truth and guide our lives accordingly. If we are going to use all the amenities provided by science and technology to our advantage in our daily existence to obtain a comfortable living, then it logically follows that we ought to also subject our religious beliefs to rigorous scientific scrutiny. If we do so, we will be saved from the divisive tendencies that religion fosters, especially, the exclusive ones that convert men of other faiths or no faith to their fold to bolster their numbers. But if we do not scrutinise our culture-fed beliefs, we will remain vulnerable to all the malefic ideas that persist in our intolerant faith-systems. And the idea does not restrict itself to only God-centred religions. It very much includes within its ambit Godless religions such as Communism, Fascism, Nazism and the like which have caused irreparable damage to civilisation.
So, the fundamental idea is to be well aware of the dangers of blind subscription to dogmatic religions, especially, those that claim to be the very last word on God and Truth with no further evolutionary edition or amendment possible. We must not sell our individual freedom to some so-called divine personage or a special appointee of the Divine in the form of a messiah or a prophet and reduce ourselves to base, submissive human beings with neither the liberty to choose our own way of life nor the option to dethrone this arbitrary tyrant called God without suffering terrible punishment, even death for such apostasy. We must affirm our fundamental human right to live the way we like without injuring others and no theocratic system or order can dictate terms to our ways and means of living.
A last word, and it is on conversion. It is the most pernicious thing ever to obtain in human society and no religion that converts to save souls can ever be peaceful or promote peace on earth. So, give up your affiliation to such dastardly programmes and learn to live free of dogma as befits a modern human being with enlightened reason and culture to guide rather than some refracted vision of apparent truth mistaken to be the absolute and inviolable truth of the universe and the beyond.
