HINDUISM INTOLERANT?
Intolerance is not a feature of Hinduism which is an all-embracing philosophical and spiritual system of thought and realisation. It is a feature of Islam and Christianity which are fundamentally exclusive religions that allow no space for the existence of other religions. Hence, they convert which in itself is a violent proposition, intolerant to the core, an irrational and uncivilised cultural assertion that seeks to obliterate other vibrant human systems that have flourished for millenia. Hinduism is the only major world religion which accepts all religions as valid paths to godhead. To, therefore, label Hinduism as intolerant has a political undertone to it and the proposition must be discarded in the light of reason and sanity. However, all political killings must be condemned, nay, resisted as well, for they are anti-human and criminal. Hinduism speaks of the divinity of the human soul and of all of sentience and is the hope for future humanity if cooperative coexistence of diversity is to be its feature.
