Swami Achyutananda is a monk of supreme civilisation. Erudite and softly articulate, he epitomises the best of Belur Math culture in the classical line of the poet-philosopher. This monk of excellent erudition is a devotee at heart and is suffused with love, full of a spiritual fragrance so uncommon even among men of realisation that it seems he brings to us a different world of spiritual sensibility altogether, a la Tagore of the Spirit or a Mozart composing the symphony of the soul.
