PREVENT PERVERSION FROM THE MOTHER FAITH, PREMIER INSTITUTIONS, IF INDEED YOU ARE PREMIER

PREVENT PERVERSION FROM THE MOTHER FAITH, PREMIER INSTITUTIONS, IF INDEED YOU ARE PREMIER

What are some of the most esteemed Hindu spiritual organisations doing to stop conversion from Hinduism to Islam and Christianity? Preaching the harmony of religions? Upholding the doctrine that all religions are equally valid ways of realising God even if, theologically speaking, these religions hold habitat in a sensuous heaven and not God-realisation as the highest goal for their adherents? Holding hypocritical inter-faith meets where no questions are asked of Muslim and Christian participants about their continued proselytisation among the Hindus in India? Shame!

Hindus are being converted by the thousands, persecuted throughout the subcontinent, and, yet, these key Hindu organisations are maintaining a studied silence on these issues? Is this courage of spiritual conviction? Is this spirituality at all? Where are the programmes being conducted by these venerable institutions that teach and warn Hindus about the Dawah dangers that face them, about the proselytising poison that is being injected by both Islamic Dawah institutions and Evangelical Christian organisations? Where is the sense of mature responsibility being exhibited, that comprehension of the seriousness of the situation that has now become an existential threat for Hindus throughout India, not to mention the severed parts of our beloved motherland where Hinduism has already been well-nigh snuffed out?

Where lies the future of the Hindus if some of their premier spiritual orders are oblivious to their existential needs and are content to preach lofty philosophy that scarce reaches the masses who are being thus perverted from their ancestral faith? When will we see Vivekananda being preached in a manly manner on a war footing and that too without cherry-picking passages from his works that allow this namby pamby spiritual propagation among the polity that fails to protect the Hindus from pernicious proselytising elements? We need an answer to these moot questions.

Meanwhile, let us ourselves exert to set our house in order and prevent future perversion. The task is onerous in the face of total apathy from premier Hindu organisations but it still needs to be undertaken and brought to fruition. May Swamiji himself guide us where his followers will not!
